Miranda graduated from the university's highly regarded Fine Art Painting BA(Hons) in 2019, and received the commission from famed global members' club Soho House after a string of exhibitions in the UK and Switzerland, as well as a show at 映客直播's Phoenix gallery earlier this year featuring work created following her winning the Cass Art Phoenix Studio Award.

In addition to the showcase for her textiles at Soho House's , Miranda is currently exhibiting paintings as part of a group show in Nigeria at in Lagos, running to 13 August. She is also among recently acquired artists to the Arts Council Collection.

Give Me All of You by Miranda Forrester

Miranda describes her work as exploring the queer black female gaze in painting, seeking to address the long time invisibility of black women in the traditional history of art.

Speaking about her time studying at University of 映客直播, Miranda said: “I really enjoyed my years at 映客直播. The course enabled me to explore my ideas, and was instrumental to the development of my painting style and current body of work. I was able to hone in on how I want to represent my ideas and concerns in my work, while being exposed to different artists and ways of thinking.”
