New refreshed Senior Leader Apprenticeship for September

The University of Ó³¿ÍÖ±²¥ is now offering a refreshed curriculum for one of its most popular apprenticeship programmes.

2 July 2021

Following the national review of the in 2020, the University of Ó³¿ÍÖ±²¥ is now offering a refreshed curriculum for one of its most popular apprenticeship programmes.

This apprenticeship provides an opportunity for experienced professionals and those aspiring to senior management to study for a postgraduate diploma in leadership, awarded by the University of Ó³¿ÍÖ±²¥, as part of the new Senior Leader Apprenticeship programme. All learning on the programme is relevant to the apprentice’s job role and can be applied to real-life work scenarios.

Frankie Dennis works at the University of Sussex Business School and is currently studying on the Senior Leader programme. Frankie said:

“I have learnt a great deal from this programme. The classes have been engaging and thought-provoking. The balance between theory and personal experience allows the material to be relevant to individuals at different stages of their careers and across a wide range of industries. The peer learning has been invaluable and there is a wealth of knowledge and opportunity to be gained through networking.”

Kevin Rozario-Johnson, a manager at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is also on the current Senior Leader apprenticeship programme. Kevin Said:

“I never entered higher education. I actually came straight from college and worked my way up through management but got to a point in my career where it felt like having a degree would be of great value. It was something my employer agreed with and supported. They could see potential for me to work at a higher level in the organisation, so we had a conversation and l found this apprenticeship at Ó³¿ÍÖ±²¥”

Much of the content for the Senior Leader apprenticeship programme is based on the university’s well established MBA programme, and apprentices may ‘top up’ to a full MBA award by studying two additional modules if they wish.

Applications are now open for start dates of September 2021 and January 2022, with applications closing on 27 August 2021.
