Professor Kate Bullen, Head of the School of Applied Social Science, has been made a Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS). Professor Bullen joins a select group of professional psychologists at the BPS, as one of only 645 Fellows in the UK.
The British Psychological Society is the representative body for psychology and psychologists in the UK, and is responsible for the promotion of excellence and ethical practice in the science, education, and practical applications of the discipline. The Society is the second largest psychology association in the world with 55,000 members, second only to the American Psychological Association.
Professor Bullen is a chartered psychologist and currently chairs the BPS’s Ethics Committee and Social Justice, Diversity and Inclusion Working Group. She is also a member of NHS Research Ethics Committee for Wales and is a national assessor for the Equality Challenge Unit’s Athena Swan charter. Within the university she also chairs the Research Ethics and Integrity Committee.
